Obama Daily 110111

If you haven't been paying attention, this cartoon is inspired by the announcement that the White House will use its executive powers to enact regulations that it has been unable to get approved through Congress. On the face of it, the announcement is fairly benign. The Executive Branch of government has a fairly wide authority to create rules and regulations...and has done so in Democrat and Republican administrations.

What makes this look wrong is the attempt to do an end-around on Congress. It's one thing to say, "We're creating this rule and will enforce it administratively". It's quite another to say that you are intentionally creating and enforcing rules and regulations against the will of Congress...and are doing it specifically because Congress won't pass a bill.

Pretty bold stuff.

Hertz Fires Muslims over Prayer while on company time

About damned time a major company stood up to the Islamists. You wanna pray? Clock out. I pray every time I rent a car from Hertz...that the car will get me where I'm going. I can do that at 70mph.

From Pearl Harbor to 9/11

Amazing story. I sure would like to meet this man.

Broadcaster's career from Pearl Harbor to 9-11
by Donald Sensing
City, County and Congressional Leaders to Honor Luther Masingill for 70 Years in Broadcasting | WDEF News 12

Luther Masingill of Chattanooga, Tenn., has been broadcasting for WDEF since 1940.

Luther holds the record for being on the air at the same station for over 70 years and is believed to be the only announcer to have reported over-the-air both the attack on Pearl Harbor and the attacks of 9/11.

Amazing.
