Cutting Taxes? Not So Much...

Hope and Change, eh?

I will cut taxes--cut taxes--for 95% of all working families.
In an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raising
taxes on the middle-class.

Here's some change for you...

President Obama's top political adviser refused today to rule out the possibility that the White House might agree to a tax hike on health insurance plans that would hit middle-income Americans.

Speaking on ABC's "This Week" program, David Axelrod declined to repeat Obama's "firm pledge" during the campaign that families making under $250,000 will not see "any form of tax increase, not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

Instead, Axelrod said the president has no interest in "drawing lines in the sand" on the issue of how to pay for the costly health reform plan making its way through Congress.

"One of the problems we've had in this town is that people draw lines in the sand and they stop talking to each other. And you don't get anything done," Axelrod said. "That's not the way the president approaches this."

Looks like this one is going to rank with George H.W.'s "read my lips" line.

I remember the lies. I was one of the voices in the wilderness trying to raise the alarm to no avail. And now reality has arrived.

Barack Obama lied? About raising taxes? Well sure he did. Now, I wonder what else he lied about? So far? He has admitted to lying about openness and transparency in government. He has lied about appointing lobbyist to his cabinet. He has lied about raising taxes and he has lied about being a Muslim.

I can't wait for the moment when it is finally revealed that he was actually born in Kenya and was never qualified to become president period.

In the mean time, Americans better be loading for bear now as they approach the 2010 midterms. Obama is only half of the problem.
